Clickmarks, a platform and applications
provider for wireless carriers and
enterprises, today announced an
agreement with BT Cellnet. The two
companies will offer a package of
application and network services
that enable enterprises to quickly
and easily provide corporate information
to employees on the move.
Clickmarks' Enterprise Habitat
platform makes it possible for individual
enterprise employees to select,
use and update specific information
from any number of different sources
via mobile phones or PDAs, using
BT Cellnet's GSM and GPRS wireless
networks.
Clickmarks' application provides
a personalized Habitat for each
user. The Habitat enables specific
elements of individual information
sources - ranging from enterprise
applications, production systems,
databases and data warehouses, to
e-mail and Web content - to be made
available in the small screen area
of a mobile phone or PDA. The Habitat
makes information retrieval and
updating faster and easier for users
by removing the need to switch between
applications or navigate through
non-essential screens.
